Spoof e-Mails
It has come to our attention that a malicious individual or organisation
has recently sent a spoof e-mail to some members purporting to be from
ShoppingPlanner and suggesting that they should log on to the Forum to
receive a message from another member.
We have taken action to halt this activity, but if you have received
such an e-mail, please delete it.
It is unlikely that any real damage can arise from this activity as save
for your e-mail address we do not hold members' personal or financial
details in the ShoppingPlanner database.
Nevertheless, if you have responded to the e-mail you may wish to
consider changing your password by logging on as normal (not through the
e-mail link) and clicking on the 'Account Details' link.
We would advise that as a general rule you should not click on links in
e-mails sent to you unless you are very certain of the source, and
should you click on such links, do not enter your username and/ or
password since this information could be captured and used by a
malicious individual or organisation.
We would like to thank the members who brought this spoof e-mail to our
attention, and assure you that we shall again act promptly to halt any
future occurrence.
