Neff Steam Oven
Anyone else got a steam oven? I have fairly recently had a Neff compact
steam oven installed in my shiny new kitchen, and I have been most
delighted with what I have done so far. Roast Pork and Crackling (yes,
crackling in a steam oven!) is just to die for!!! And I have done a leg
of lamb using the delay timer which was yummy too. I have also
successfully cooked tenderstem broccoli for a dinner party for 8 (a bit
of crossed fingers there because I hadn't done it before but it turned
out very nicely indeed). White cabbage I wasn't so keen on - it tasted
too school-cabbagey and was a bit limp so perhaps I did something wrong
there - it was only the second thing I attempted so I ought to try again
(as a side note - I do like cooked cabbage anyway so wasn't biased
against it and expecting miracles!) .
I'm sure I'm not using this lovely gadget to its full potential and
would love to share any tips anyone else has. There doesn't seem to be
much extra info available on the interweb yet.
I am a bit of a kitchen-gadget fan and usually put the name of the
gadget in the recipe somewhere to remind myself to use it.
