How do I edit the BBE date?

We have been asked "How do I edit the BBE date?"

Response: the 'Best Before End' date is calculated by the system as the
latest date that an ingredient is required for any recipe in the plan
period, and so is not 'editable'.

Would be interested to know why you would want to edit this field.
